Jesus left the glory, splendor, beauty, and magnificence of heaven to redeem mankind. While he was here, people
In spite of all this, Jesus, on the cross, still said, "Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do." [Luke 23:34] This represents the greatest demonstration of love possible. To die for the very one who hates you in both words and deeds denotes love in its purest form. Giving one's all while the recipient gives worse than nothing is unconditional love par excellence. It is in what Jesus did that we find true love, beyond question. It is in what Jesus did that we find how to love, without doubt. It is in what Jesus did that we discover our worth, with certainty.
The man who does not love/live for GOD is incapable of love. In light of what Jesus gave, to reject him highlights one's eternal death. Only a dead man fails to see such supreme love. When one has given everything he has for another and it is not acknowledged or appreciated, the recipient is unquestionably dead spiritually. He can also be categorized with the physically dead since only the deceased are incapable of recognizing the divine love demonstrated by Jesus.
Jesus' love for us also highlights the essential ingredient in unfeigned love. That ingredient is conduct. When Jesus healed the sick (Luke 13:10-13), gave sight to the blind (Matthew 9:27-31), cleansed the lepers (Luke 17:11-19), restored a deaf and dumb man's ability to hear and speak (Mark 7:31-37), raised the dead (Luke 7:11-15), fed thousands (Mark 6:30-52),and cast devils out of people (Luke 9:37-42), his love was manifested toward us in an experiential manner. Jesus' love always equated to doing, not merely talking. His love was always tangible and real. He loved in such a way that the recipients fully experienced it. Herein lies the only pure love: the recipient knows he is loved because he experiences it physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Anything less is not love at all; it is what can best be described as love-less acts or pretense.
A man who does not love/live for Jesus cannot love anyone!
